Yaku, which in Quichua means water, is a space to reflect and marvel at water and its possibilities for life. It is located in the old El Placer neighborhood on the slopes of the Pichincha Volcano, so, in addition to being a space that promotes education and the preservation of water, it is a strategic site for observation and contemplation of the dazzling city.Tradition has it that in this sector were built ceremonial and purification baths of the Inca Atahualpa, which were known as the "Houses of Pleasure of the Inca", for that reason the neighborhood would have kept that name. The Yaku Water Museum is a special place for holding events, with ample spaces, a large terrace overlooking the city and an innovative gardening concept.
