Former Military Circle

The Antiguo Círculo Militar building reflects the neoclassical style that prevailed at the time and, together with other buildings of the same line, lay the foundations of a new type of architecture that supported the beautification of the city of Quito.This building houses the Defense Library, the Defense Museum Management and the National Academy of Military History. It is a building used for academic, cultural and protocolary acts and events of the public sector free of charge. Now it opens its doors as a permanent open house, for the knowledge of the public.
